By 1960, the year of Nigeria’s Flag Independence, ADSON had build over 200 Primary Schools, 18 Secondary Modern Schools, 3 Secondary Grammar Schools (Including one for girls), and 3 Teacher’s Training Colleges.

  • Success Story Investment in Human Development “An Investment in Knowledge (Education) always pays the best interest” – Benjamin Franklin (1790)
  • A Testimony: The incumbent Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Mr Godwin Emefiele, CON attended the Ansar-Ud-Deen Primary School, Igbosere Lagos (now known as the Government Primary School Victoria Island, Lagos). He passed out in June, 1973, approximately 48 years ago.  
  • The foundation of his educational advancement to national prominence is purely on merit.

The Foundation of ADCOED

Ansar-Ud-Deen Colleges of Education, (ADCOED) Isolo, is an off-shoot of a defunct training centre, known as the institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies (IAIS) which was established over three (3) decades ago, precisely in 1982, to train qualified and professional teachers in the subjects of Arabic and Islamic Studies. Till the end of 20th Century, the old institute satisfactorily accomplished its assignment within available financial, material and human resources.

The Provost

SUARAU, M.A, studied Special Education and sports for the disabled at the University of Ibadan, obtaining B.Ed, PhD. Taught as St. Andrew’s College of Education, Oyo, Bayero University, Kano, Universities of Botswana, West Indies, Cave-Hillb campus, Barbadod, East Anglia, Norwich, U.K before resuming as Provost, Ansar-ud-deen College of Education, Isolo, Lagos State.
